She was a key driver in developing the Dear Everybody outreach program, which brings the positive messages of disability awareness and inclusion to schools and community groups across the city of Toronto. Olivia is a dedicated health communicator, having spent the last decade working in various pan-Canadian health organizations such as Health Canada and the Canadian Institute for Health Information. Her passion for health promotion, policy and storytelling brought her to Holland Bloorview in May 2019 to be closer to healthcare delivery. Olivia has a Bachelor of Communications from McMaster University. Her career has been punctuated by various living abroad experiences, such as a year in Dublin, Ireland and South Korea.

Polina is a passionate disability rights advocate and strongly believes in eliminating the stigma surrounding disability. As a certified Jack Talks Speaker and Social Change Specialist (Leave the Pack Behind), Polina developed strong public speaking experience in health advocacy. Polina has worked with children and youth with complex neurological disorders during her time as a counselor at Camp Winston, and is also a former Ward Summer Student in Holland Bloorview’s TRAIL lab. Polina will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Medical Sciences from Western University this spring.
