Say Yes to the Less

Sometimes more is less and less is more; making it easier to choose wisely.

Choosing Wisely Canada is a campaign to help physicians and patients engage in conversations about unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures.  As most of the Choosing Wisely recommendations are aimed at adults, the Hospital for Sick Children decided to create their own ‘top 5’ list tailored specifically for the children they see at the hospital.

Join Dr. Jeremy Friedman and the CAPHC Patient Safety Collaborative for a webinar on April 22, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm

Dr. Friedman will:

  1. Provide a brief review of the  relevance and importance of the Choosing Wisely campaign in Canada
  2. Highlight some of the Paediatric ‘lists’ created through Choosing Wisely thus far
  3. Describe one approach to developing a new Choosing Wisely program in a Paediatric Department in a teaching hospital
  4. Lead a discussion about different approaches to fit different situations
